An amazingly detailed
cover by Ellis Martin. This is on a 1/2 inch to the mile map.
There was a later version in green. and the sky is not really
that green/red colour. That is just the way the scan has come
out. The extract below is more realistic.
This
is 1913 map. No motorways. No traffic jams. No road numbers either.
The car is expensive. You would have to have been wealthy to run
one of these. Finding your way around would have been very difficult
so a map would have been essential and combined with road signs
you would have move from town to town - hopefully without getting
lost. Anyway leave it to the chauffeur.
