The National Library of Wales does a similar task for Wales. A really good site which is in both Welsh and English. The last time I checked the site had a lovely extract of Central Cardiff from a 25" Ordnance Survey County Series Map, (Glamorganshire Sheet XLIII.15, Edition of 1920).

Alan Godfrey maps produces modern reduced scale reprints of large scale 1:500 and 1:2500 maps from old county series originals. These are superb and are enable the map user to get their hands on maps which are normally only found in the likes of the British Library and the Bodlian. The cost and size of them means they can be used in places and for purposes that valuable originals can not. He is now producing 1 inch reprints from the New Series, Revised new series and 3rd Edition in black and white. The site also runs a monthly competition.
